Humans, by divine design, were built for the great outdoors—nature’s VIP guests, if you will. We’ve evolved to vibe with the natural world, soaking up nourishment for the mind, body, and soul. Let’s face it: we’re solar-powered! Our mental and physical well-being depends on a healthy dose of sunshine and Mother Nature. Yoga knew it all along—the sun is the ultimate symbol of life, energy, and vitality. Enter the Sun Salutation (Surya Namaskar), a little salute to that golden orb in the sky that keeps us all glowing. But in the chaos of modern life, we’ve drifted away from this sacred connection.
Cue MoShams, our little sanctuary designed to rekindle that love affair with nature. Think of it as a throwback to the good ol’ days when holidays were slow, sun-soaked, and full of lazy afternoons flipping through vintage magazines in sleepy neighborhoods. Here, luxury is understated, simplicity is key, and life moves at a pace so relaxed it’s practically horizontal. It’s where you swap out the tourist traps for hidden gems, and even familiar spots feel like brand-new discoveries.
MoShams is more than just a place to stay—it’s a portal to slow living, offering personalized service that feels more like hanging out with a local friend than checking into a hotel. Every room boasts floor-to-ceiling windows with jaw-dropping views of valleys and mountains, and outdoor nooks that are practically begging you to sit down, chill out, and soak it all in.
Getting here is a breeze. Just hop on a 40-minute flight from Delhi to Dehradun, nestled in the foothills of the Shivalik range. From there, it’s a scenic another 40 minute drive through lush forests, by passing Rishikesh, and along a picture-perfect valley road that leads straight to MoShams.
Inside, your room is your private retreat, with glass walls that bring nature right to your doorstep. En-suite bathrooms, 5G connectivity, WiFi, and a TV in the living room ensure you’re never too far from the modern world—unless, of course, you want to be. And the best part? You don’t lift a finger. Our professional yet local team takes care of everything, so you can focus on the art of doing absolutely nothing. Just let us know your preferences in advance, and arrive with nothing on your mind but chilling. We can’t wait to welcome you to MoShams for a #NetworkWithNature experience!
While designing and planning the premises, the preservation of land, flora& fauna are ensured with naturally retained area (topography/ vegetation). Wherever possible conserving the site contour, ramps are created in order to enable facilities for a universal design. The project has used natural and local materials like natural stones for wall cladding and pathways.
For natural air ventilation and daylight, floor to ceiling windows enable the same. Outdoor views is almost 100% from the rooms and the balconies. Greenpro certified materials are used wherever possible. The total tree cover of the premises is ~25% with most of the trees being the native/ endemic species including plants that provides for organic seasonal vegetables and herbs. All indoor spaces have plants as well. Of the 30 KW connected electricity load 50% is sourced from solar energy. Sewage treatment plant for waste water treatment is commissioned. Management for wet and dry waste is planned alongwith vermicomposting for organic waste. Green Procurement and promoting local economy through employment purchase of local goods is followed. The premises adopt ecofriendly house keeping practices during maintenance by using bio-degradable/ eco-friendly chemicals, to address health, hygiene and well-being of building occupant & maintenance staff. EXCELLENT Based on 106 reviews Posted on Google Lisa MormileTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This property is in immaculate condition, and my stay was absolutely magical. The owners, Mohit and Sharmila, are truly the salt of the earth—so heart-centered in everything they do. The rest of the staff and their recommended taxi driver were just as wonderful. The place is kept extremely clean, and the food is amazing. As someone with dietary restrictions (vegan and gluten-free), I was so touched by how the chef accommodated my needs and prepared every dish with so much love. I also encountered an issue with my Visa card, and Mohit and Sharmila went out of their way to find a solution and put my mind at ease. Everything worked out perfectly! They even took the time to recommend the best local spots to visit in Rishikesh. My experience was so incredible that I’ve already booked an additional week at the end of my vacation before I head home. Thank you, Mohit and Sharmila, for such a memorable and magical stay!"Posted on Google Luv SharmaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I honestly don’t think words can fully describe how wonderful my experience here was. From the moment I arrived, everything felt so warm, peaceful, and welcoming. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, calm, serene, and the kind of place that instantly makes you feel relaxed. But what made the stay truly special were the hosts, Mohit and Sharmila. They are genuinely some of the kindest and most thoughtful hosts I’ve ever come across. Their hospitality goes far beyond expectations and makes you feel completely at home. The rooms were exceptional spotless, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. Every little detail was taken care of. What I loved most was the peaceful atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where you plan to stay for a day and end up extending because you simply don’t want to leave. I would highly recommend everyone to visit at least once. If you’re looking for a perfect getaway to unwind and recharge, this is it. I’m already looking forward to coming back again, this time with my family. Definitely, definitely recommended!Posted on Google Liz HindTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We had the pleasure of staying at Moshaims for one day to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and the entire experience was truly exceptional. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and thoughtfully maintained. The food was outstanding, and the hospitality was beyond expectations. Mohit and Sharmila are incredibly warm and gracious hosts. Their kindness and care can be felt in every corner of the space they have created. Although our stay was only for one day, it felt far too short, and we are already looking forward to returning for a longer visit next time. I had requested a special birthday arrangement for my wife, and they handled everything so beautifully and with great attention to detail. Their thoughtful gesture made the celebration even more memorable. They were friendly, welcoming, and made us feel completely at home. The food was freshly prepared, delicious, and of the highest quality. I would highly recommend trying their Garhwali thali, which was one of the highlights of our stay. The natural beauty, calm surroundings, and peaceful atmosphere of this place are truly special. It is perfect for a relaxing getaway with family, children, parents, or your partner. The rooms were very clean, comfortable, and had everything needed for a restful stay. A heartfelt thank you to Sharmila and Mohit for making our day so special and unforgettable.Posted on Google XiTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I feel a little selfish not wanting more people to know about this place. But what Mohit and Shamila have built here deserves a true 5 stars. Scent is the first thing I notice in a hotel. The room carries a light tea tree smell. I had just come from the noisy streets of Rishikesh—my head still buzzing. Then suddenly, it went quiet. The room is all wood. There’s a water bottle on each side of the bed. When we came back from dinner, they had been refilled. There’s an outdoor bathtub on the balcony. At night, under the stars and the sound of crickets, the lights across the hill slowly come on. You sit in the water and just don’t feel like moving. The hotel sits on the hillside. You take a short flight of steps to get to the restaurant. Every corner feels softly shaped. Sound is the second thing I notice. The moment the door closes, the outside world is cut off. What’s left is soft music. For a second, I felt slightly disoriented. The last time I felt this kind of separation was at the foot of Patagonia. The air moves. The glasses are thin, perfectly clean. You start to slow down. Time doesn’t stop—it just stops mattering. In that state, food tastes better. (It helps that the food here is genuinely good.) After a while, I became curious about the founders. They said they didn’t want to work for someone else anymore. They want to build a place for themselves and connect to like-minded people. Using what they know, doing a bit of work each day. Enough to live—that’s enough. They built freedom on top of reality. If you’re looking for something quiet and intentional, you’ll understand this place.Posted on Google Namya ChadhaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Recently As a part of my show I stayed with my group members at this place. I must say that the Sharmila and Mohit have meticulously worked very hard in making this place feel home away from home. I have extensively travelled around the globe in past 25 years and have stayed in the best of the best places and Moshaams is one of them. Food is undoubtedly one of the best that i have had in many years. The interiors, the serene view, the Food and the warmth of the hosts makes this place worth every penny that you spent here. Go do it guys.. 👍👍
